My parents are in Edinburgh! Hurrah!  The weather has been pretty rubbish so we’ve mostly been keeping warm eating yummy food and drinking wine.  Last night we went to the Queen’s Arms for some dinner and to watch the football. I LOVE that place.  Cute little booths make you feel like you’re in an old train carriage, and the food is scrummy.  I have coley, mussel and chorizo linguine followed by a cheese board and washed down with some delicious viognier.

Miserable weather day:

Quote of the day from Mum waiting for SH’s beef chili to be ready (nearly 12 hours since it went on the hob!): “A slow cooked meal gives the soul time to realise what is going on”… perfect 🙂
