With the changing seasons it is inevitable that I am going to have to venture out and update my wardrobe.  I have been putting off this bi-annual trip, for several reasons including: cost, discomfort, ignorance.  I know full well that I’ll have to trawl endless, identical racks of clothes, haul the first selection to the tiny, fluorescent lit changing rooms and strip to reveal previously unidentified lumps and bumps.  Repeat until suitably sweaty and demoralised, and then fork out cash that could have been spent on many a tasty dinner.

Having said that, now that today’s shopping trip is over, I’m feeling pretty chuffed.  I have plenty of warm, cosy, practical clothes to see me through the cold Edinburgh winter.  Here are a couple of my favourites:
