If you’re ever in need of a pit stop in Cumbria, try this place out.  A beautiful old Inn with a lovely, cosy bar and beautifully decorated, modern bedrooms.  S and I decided to find a wee watering hole and bed for the night on our way back up the M6 and came across this place.  The Greyhound is 2 minutes off the motorway but feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere.  The owner and staff were unbelievably helpful and went out of their way to give us a good stay.  Unfortunately we had to leave shortly after 6am so we missed breakfast but I can imagine it wouldn’t disappoint.  Several drinks, a filling pub dinner, super huge cheese platter and a deluxe bedroom with ensuite and flatscreen tv had us smiling all the way back up to Edinburgh.  We’ll definitely be back!
